Information for our international guests
Getting around Gothenburg
Entering Schengen area
For guests flying from overseas, passport checks to enter the Schengen area will be done at the first airport you land in EU that is within the Schengen region.
You do not need a visa for visits under 90 days.
Airport
Gothenburg’s airport is located in Landvetter, about 20 minutes from the city. There is currently no public transit between Landvetter and Gothenburg. To get to Gothenburg, we recommend calling an Uber or Bolt, or taking the Flyggbuss into the city.
To book a Flyggbuss, click here to check the time tables and to book a ticket.
City
Ubers and Bolts are frequently used in the city to get around. For guests looking to take the tram, be sure to download the Västtrafik app on your phone to plan your trip and to purchase tickets.
